The Dev Tools Digest collects news and content from around the developer community. This week, Stripe Atlas expands to Cuba, Docker announces a beta, and CircleCI releases an update for OS X. Extending Their Reach

Docker turns three this week, and to celebrate the company has announced a beta program for Docker for Mac and Windows. Named improvements for the Docker Toolbox include the phasing out of VirtualBox, with native user interfaces and system integrations for Windows and OSX.

CircleCI announces updates to its OSX offerings including Xcode 7.3 support. New features include automated code signing services and updates to its custom CocoaPods support.

Stripe announced its global payment system, Atlas, last month. This week, Stripe will add its 186th participating country, Cuba. A recent post details how eased restrictions between the U.S. and Cuba have paved way for new international business that Stripe aims to support.

Out in the Open

Treasure Data Chief Evangelist John Hammink gives a recap of the Great Wide Open Conference that took place earlier this month. Hammink’s own presentation, “Scaling to Infinity: Open Source meets Big Data” details the need for a scalable and dynamic data analytics infrastructure.

An Eye on Performance

The folks at software analytics company Takipi have put together a side-by-side comparison of two popular enterprise-level application performance monitoring services: AppDynamics and Dynatrace. Some key differences between the two APM services include ease of deployment, pricing transparency, and modernization. You can read the full article on the Takipi blog.
