The Long Horizon Stack

The Long Horizon Stack

Long-horizon agents execute multi-step work over hours or days: planning and acting, self-correcting, interfacing with humans or other agents and recovering across many tools and discrete sessions. The capability is there in theory but real world deployments are in the early days but will grow exponentially. A new infrastructure ecosystem will be built to support them.

Heavybit’s DevGuild: Long-Horizon Stack is a one-day, invite-only gathering of 200 technical founders, engineering leaders, and AI researchers building at the infrastructure layer for long-running agents. Speakers like Hex CTO Caitlin Colgrove and Baseten’s Head of Model Training Judith Jayasekara will discuss topics including durable memory and state, orchestration, resilient self-improving harnesses, secure sandboxes, observability, FinOps, intelligent model routing, identity, and governance.
